We have extended our hand of commitment to the AFRICAN FASHION INTERNATIONAL [AFI] and FESTIVAL FOR AFRICAN FASHION AND ARTS (FAFA) Kenya to recognize and show case the best of African talent. and we believe that the AKWA IBOM CHRISTMAS FASHION FESTIVAL will attract international Audience and markets beyond the global African diasporas. The world eyes would be focused on Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.
MODEL AFRIKA is a sub division of Stella Bukan company with the aim of promoting the best of African talents both locally and on a global scale and AKWA IBOM CHRISTMAS FASHION FESTIVAL would be a further step towards fulfillment of this goal, by creating and outstanding fashion industry in AKWA IBOM STATE and a strong modeling outfit to promote our indigenous models, working hard with our untiring effort to install the best in Akwa Ibom State, this season, 17 top designers from across the continent will show case together at the very first AKWA IBOM CHRISTMAS FASHION FESTIVAL organized by MODEL AFRIKA. This unique epoch – defining event which will run between December 1st – 20th 2010 would be proudly sponsored by the AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNMENT. This event will serve as an avenue to promote AKWA IBOM STATE FASHION INDUSTRY by Focusing on our abundant Creative talents and our Unique people. AKWA IBOM CHRISTMAS FASHION FESTIVAL will help promote the local textiles industries through Inter-African trade as well as capitalize on Global Interest in Africa as a creative source. This event will open wide range doors to our Fashion and modeling industry to compete on the upcoming ARISE AFRICAN FASHION WEEK organize by AFRICA FASHION International to be Host in NIGERIA 2011.
